Theodore G. Ingersoll

Theodore Gillette Ingersoll.

Birth: Dec. 13, 1843, Rochester, Oakland County, Michigan.
Death: Nov. 20, 1918, Seattle, King County, Washington.

Theodore Gillette Ingersoll married Julia Anne (Kipp).

He served in the Civil War----Company E 8th Kansas Infantry.

He was also the 1st Postmaster of Rose vale ( 1869-1885 ), name changed to Springfield postmaster ( 1887-1888 ), now Broughton, Kansas.

Children: James Garfield Ingersoll (1880 - 1918), Julia Louise Ingersoll McDonald (1884 - 1967), Edna Iona Ingersoll Stewart (1887 - 1961).

Note: Died of pneumonia

Burial: Evergreen Washelli Memorial Park, Seattle, King County, Washington.

Private, Ingersoll Theodore, residence Wilmington, Kansas, Walbaunsee county, enlisted Sept. 13,1861, mustered in Sept. 16, 1861.  Mustered out Sept. 16, 1864, Chattanooga, Tenn. Wounded in action Sept. 19, 1863, Chicamauga, Ga.

Case-813. Theodore Ingersoll, age 20, wounded by a ball striking the internal malleolus of the left ankle, at Chickamauga, September 19, 1863.  He passed through several hospitals, and was mustered out of service September 19, 1864, and pensioned.  Pension paid June, 1879.
