Mr. Buswell came to Chautauqua county in 1871 and settled in section 1, of Little Caney township. He was a farmer and breeder of registered Hereford Cattle and Poland China Hogs. He was also at one time a Locomotive Engineer. His farm was 520 acres, and his post office address was Niotaze, Kansas, which was 4 miles north-east of the farm.
