Miller Post Office.
 
Miller post office open April 22, 1887 and ran to December 15, 1905.  First postmaster was John L. Jones.  Closed and reopen April 12, 1912 and ran to April 18, 1958.

Miller, a station on the Missouri Pacific R. R. in the northeastern part of Lyon county, is located 19 miles northeast of Emporia, the county seat, and 8 miles west of Osage City, Osage county, from which place it is furnished with mail b}- rural route. It has express and telegraph offices, and the population according to the census of 1910 was 24.

This Post Office is spelled tow ways Fourmile or Four Mile. you will have to try both spellings to find and other information on this town.

Ihere was only one patron of Elmendaro township who used Fourmile as thier P. O. address as of 1901.

Fourmile, a rural hamlet in the southeast corner of Lyon county, is 7 miles south of Hartford, the nearest station and shipping point, whence it receives its mail by rural delivery, and 18 miles southeast of Emporia, the county seat.
