Letts Post Office.

 

Letts post office open December 12, 1901 and ran to August 13, 1904.  First postmaster was Daniel C. Worden.  The post office sat on the land own by J. A. Johnson.

Laton Post Office History.

 

Laton was first known as Eagle Creek, who's post office open October 22, 1878 and ran to October 23, 1884, first postmaster was Samuel N. Prichard, name changed to Laton.  Laton post office open October 23, 1884 and ran to July 15, 1895, closed and reopen July 13, 1897 and ran to November 14, 1905.  First postmaster was Chris C. Hall.

Laton Kansas, 1912.

 

Laton, a hamlet in Rooks county, is located near the east line of the county, about 20 miles southeast of Stockton, the judicial seat, and 8 miles from Natoma in Osborne county, whence its mail is distributed by rural route. The population in 1910 was 30.
