M.r. Reece came to Douglas County, Kansas, in 1862, and settled in section 23, of Wakarusa Township. He was a Farmer and Stock Raiser, on his 154 acres of land. His post office address was Lawrence, Kansas, which was 5 miles north east from the farm.
