Samuel P. McCaw.

Death: Aug. 13, 1907.
Wife: Cora A., or, Cornelia A McCaw (1846 - 1910).
Children: John M. McCaw.
Burial: Americus Cemetery, Americus, Lyon County, Kansas.
Samuel P. McCaw came to Kansas from Chester Dist. South Carolina in 1858, came to Lyon county and settled in section 10 of Americus township. He had a 160 acre farm on which he was a FArmer and Stock Raiser. His post office address was Americus, Kansas, which was a mile east of the farm.
Samuel P. McCaw was a Civil War veteran, enlisted in the 11th., Kansas Cavalry Co. E., as a private, on August 23, 1862, his residence was listed as Emporia, Mustered in September 13, 1862. Was promoted to Corporal then Sergeant, mustered out with company on August 7, 1865.
