Death: Aug. 14, 1935.

Parents: Nancy Mianda Munson, Bates Adams (1813 - 1898.)

Wife: Caroline M Barnett Bates (1847 - 1942.)

Mr.. Bates came to Chautauqua COunty Kansas in 1882 and settled in Little Caney Township.
He settled in the town of Niotaze, Kansas.  Its not stated what he did for a living.  However in 1903 Mrs. Bates was running the Hotel Niotaze.

Was a Civil War Veteran.
