Battles: Chickasaw Bayou, Sieges of Vicksburg and Jackson, Miss., Grand Coteau and Sabine Cross Roads, Ia., where wounded in right hand; Fort Gaines, Fort Morgan, Spanish Fort, Fort Blakely, Mobile and Whistler.
