Benjamin F. Chesley.

Birth: 1836.
Death: Sept. 19, 1908.

Burial: Leavenworth  National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.

I don't know much about Mr. Chesley, I do know he was living in Lawrence, Kansas, for a while working as a Laborer.

I found him later on in he Leavenworth Soldiers Home, He had been jn the 12th., New Hampshire Infantry and the New Hampshire Heavy Artillery. He was receiving a  pension of $12.  He was 64 years at the time he was admitted, I couldn't find the date.The records also stated that he was 5-10, Sandy complexion, Grey Hair and Grey Eye, and his disability was Lumbago, he was discharged October 12, 1900.

Benjamin F. Chesley, New Hampshire Firat Artillery, Co. D.; born Barnstead; Age 28; cred. to Gilmanton; Enlisted August 29, 1864, for one year; Mustered in September 4, 1864, as a PRivate; Mustered out June 15, 1865, P. O. Barnstead.
