On the county map Sugar Loaf can be found in Township 6-south and Range 19-west.  On the Township map Sugar Loaf can be found in section 17.
 
Sugarloaf Post Office.
 
Bradford post office open July 21, 1879 and ran to May 3, 1883, First postmaster was Charles Dewey, name changed to Sugar Loaf.  Sugar Loaf post office open May 3, 1883 and ran to April 25, 1895.  Sugar Loaf first postmaster was Alph Smith.

Sugar Loaf, a country hamlet in Rooks county, is located 10 miles northwest of Stockton, the county seat and nearest shipping point, and 11 miles south of Speed, the postoffice from which it receives mail. The population in 1910 was 15.

Henry Buss, had a 160 acre farm about one mile south-west of Sugar Loaf. He was born between 1872-1874, IOWA. His WIFE was ANNA C. Buss. They had at lest tree sons.
William Edward Buss or Edward W. Buss, Earl R. Buss and Keneth Buss.

Thank-you. I am doing my family tree and the Buss family is part of it. Do you have any information on Hattie Betts Morton I believe she died hbetween 1911 and 1915 in Logan Kansas. She is my great-great Grandmother and the sister of Anna C. Buss. Thanks for your help.
