Burial: Reformed Cemetery, Jewell County, Kansas.
Mr. Buikstra came to Jewell County, Kansas in 1872 and settled in section 23 of Erving Township. He was a Farmer, with 160 acres of land which he added another 380 acres. His post office address was Cawker City, Kansas, which was seven miles south west from the farm.
