Mr. Butler came to Ness county, Kansas, in 1902 and settled in section 27, of Waring Township. He was a farmer on his 475 acres, the farm was called Sunny Side Farm. He owned another 160 acres just north of Brownell, Kansas. The town of Brownell sat on his land. His post office address was Brownell, Kansas, which was lest then a half mile from the Farm house.
