Mrs. Jackson, came to Jackson County, Kansas and settled in Douglas Township.  Mr. Jackson was listed as a Farmer.  I found no record that he owned any land.  After his death in 1901 at the age of about 42, we find Ida living in Hoyt, Kansas, which is in Douglas County.  There she was the Proprietor of the Jackson Hotel.
