Before coming to Kansas they lived in Nebraska, they came to Sheridan County, Kansas in 1879, and settled in section 33, of Adell township. They were farmers and stock raisers. Robert Brewster owned 120 acres of farm land. Their post office address was Lucerne, Kansas, which was one mile north-east of the farm.
