James P. Bates.

Death: 1931.
Wife: Annie B. Bates, born New Mexico.
Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery, Bogue, Graham county, Kansas.
Mr. Bates came to Graham county in 1888, and settled in section 4, of Nieodemus township. He was a Farmer and Stock Raiser on his 160 acres farm. His post office address was Nieodemus, Kansas, which was about 2 and a half mile east of the farm.
