Mr. Koehler was born in Russia between 1862 and 1864, came to Decatur County, Kansas, in 1884, and settled in section 35 of Bassettville township. In 1921, he was listed as a farmer and owned 320 acres of land. His post office address was Oberlin, Kansas, which was about 18 miles north
-east of the farm.
