 son of Edwin L. and Harriet Talmage Breese.

 Wife's: Lena E. Toland Breese (1876 - 1949), Clara Katherine Bailey Breese (1862 - 1918).

 Burial: Elmdale Cemetery, Elmdale, Chase County, Kansas.

Mr. Breese came to Chase County, Kansas and settled in Diamond Creek Township.  Lived in the town of Elmdale, Kansas.  There he was a Dealer in General Merchandise, was also a Druggist and a Pharmacist.

Bellefont, a village of Wheatland township, Ford county, is a station on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe R. R. 22 miles east of Dodge City, the county seat. The population was 40 in 1910. It has a money order postoffice with one rural delivery route, and is a shipping and supply point for that section of the county.

The post office was officially established on April 30,1878; the postmaster appointed on that date, however, declined the position and never served.John A. Cline Postmaster 05/20/1878.

Bellefont Post office opened April 30, 1878 and ran to August 31, 1896 closed and reopened June 11, 1904 and ran to June 28, 1957.  First postmaster was John A. Cline ( June 11, 1904.).

Bellefont, Kansas was founded by Major John A. Cline, who came to Ford County, Kansas, in 1878 and settled in section 18 of Wheatland township, he owned 153. 55 acres.  In BEllefont he was the post master and dealer in General Merchandise.

Mr. Cline was a Civil War veteran, being in the Pennsylvania 155th., Infantry, CO. K.
Captain mustered in September 11, 1862.  Promoted to Major January 23, 1865, Gun shot  wound in the left hand and left shoulder.

Mary E. Yoxall.

Mary E. Yoxall is some what of a mystery, there's is very little very little information on her.  Its known she came to Wallace County, Kansas, in 1885, settled in section 24 of Weskan Township.  Records state she was born in February of 1858, and that she married a Samuel D. Yoxall, in about 1885,
who was born in England in 1850 and came to America in 1873.  As far as I can find out there was no children to this union.

Mary was a Stock woman, when she first settled she owned 640 acres, her husband had no land in his name. By 1908 she owned land in sections 23, 24, 26 and 19, for a total of 1,974.44 acres. Her ranch was called: Smoky Dale Alfalfa Stock Ranch.  Her post office address was Weskan, Kansas, which was two miles south from the farm.

Authors Note.  I couldn't find any death or burial records, If any one has information on Mary E. Yoxall. I would like hear about it.

Death: Apr. 24, 1937, Tucson, Pima County, Arizona.

Wife: Elizabeth Jane Fitzpatrick (1854 - 1939).

Children: Fay B., Jessie M., Dorothy ( adopted ), Fitzpatrick,  Irene Fern Fitzpatrick McCarty (1889 - 1951).

Burial: Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Saline, Saline County, Kansas.

Mr. Fitzpatrick lived in Saline County, Kansas, in the town of Saline.  He had many business interests Post Master, Fire Insurance, Real Estate and Abstracts.

Burial: Corzine Cemetery, Corbin, Sumner County, Kansas.

Mr. Corzine came to Sumner County, Kansas, in 1872 and settled in section 16 of Falls Township. He was a Stock Raiser and Breeder of registered Hereford cattle, on his 637.80 acres of land.His post office address was Corbin, Kansas, which was 3 miles north from the farm.
